4. Pore cleansing: Oats are filled with natural cleansers (called saponins) that gently remove dirt and oil from the pores.

To reap all of these benefits, Wechsler suggests treating your skin to a colloidal oatmeal mask every week or two. Here's her super simple recipe -- good bet the ingredients are already in your kitchen.

The Skin Doc's Smoothing, Soothing Oatmeal Mask

2 tablespoons old-fashioned oats
2 tablespoons hot water
1/2 tablespoon honey

1. Put the oats into a clean herb or coffee grinder on the finest setting, and process into powder.

2. Pour into a small bowl and stir in hot water and honey. Let stand for 5 minutes.

3. Wash face with warm water. While skin is still damp, massage paste onto face, circling around eyes and mouth. Leave on for 10 minutes.

4. Remove with tepid water and a washcloth. Apply your favorite moisturizer to seal the deal and set the glow.

To perform creation in this world along with Shakthi

Verse 30

स्वदेहोद्भूताभिर्घृणिभिरणिमाद्याभिरभितः
निषेव्ये नित्ये त्वामहमिति सदा भावयति यः।
किमाश्चर्यं तस्य त्रिनयनसमृद्धिं तृणयतः
महासंवर्ताग्निर्विरचयति नीराजनविधिम्॥

svadehodbhūtābhirghṛṇibhiraṇimādyābhirabhitaḥ
niṣevye nitye tvāmahamiti sadā bhāvayati yaḥ |
kimāścaryaṁ tasya trinayanasamṛddhiṁ tṛṇayataḥ
mahāsaṁvartāgnirviracayati nīirājanavidhim ||

It is not surprising to know, Oh mother,
Who does not have birth and death,
And who is most suitable to be served,
That the destroying fire of the deluge,
Shows prayerful harathi to the one.
Who considers you,
(Who is of the form of rays,
And is surrounded on all four sides,
By the angels of power called Anima,)
As his soul always,
And who considers the wealth of the three eyed God,
As worthless and as equal to dried grass.

Verse 31

चतुष्ष्ट्या तन्त्रैः सकलमतिसन्धाय भुवनं
स्थितस्तत्तत्सिद्धिप्रसवपरतन्त्रैः पशुपतिः।
पुनस्त्वन्निर्बन्धादखिलपुरुषार्थैकघटना-
स्वतन्त्रं ते तन्त्रं क्षितितलमवातीतरदिदम्॥

catuṣṣṭyā tantraiḥ sakalamatisandhāya bhuvanaṁ
sthitastattatsiddhiprasavaparatantraiḥ paśupatiḥ |
punastvannirbandhādakhilapuruṣārthaikaghaṭanā-
svatantraṁ te tantraṁ kṣititalamavātītaradidam ||

The Lord of all souls, Pasupathi,
Did create the sixty four thanthras,
Each leading to only one desired power,
And started he his relaxation..
But you goaded him mother,
To create in this mortal world.
Your thanthra called Sri vidya.
Which grants the devotee,
All powers that give powers,
Over all the states in life.

Verse 32

शिवशक्तिः कामः क्षितिरथ रविश्शीतकिरणः
स्मरो हंसश्शक्रस्तदनु च परामारहरयः।
अमी हृल्लेखाभिस्तिसृभिरवसानेषु घटिताः
भजन्ते वर्णास्ते तव जननि नामावयवताम्॥

śivaśaktiḥ kāmaḥ kṣitiratha raviśśītakiraṇaḥ
smaro haṁsaśśakrastadanu ca parāmāraharayaḥ |
amī hṛllekhābhistisṛbhiravasāneṣu ghaṭitāḥ
bhajante varṇāste tava janani nāmāvayavatām ||

She who is mother of us all,
The seed letter “ka” of my lord Shiva,
The seed letter “a” of goddess Shakthi,
The seed letter “ee” of the god of love,
The seed letter “la” of earth,
The seed letter “ha” of the sun god,
The seed letter “sa” of the moon with cool rays,
The seed letter “ka” of again the god of love,
The seed letter ”ha” of the sky,
The seed letter “la” of Indra , the king of devas,

समरं योनिं लक्ष्मीं त्रितयमिदमादौ तव मनोः

भजन्ति त्वां चिन्तामणिगुणनिबद्धाक्षवलयाः
शिवाग्नौ जुह्वन्तः सुरभिघृतधाराहुतिशतैः॥

samaraṁ yoniṁ lakṣmīṁ tritayamidamādau tava manoḥ
nidhāyaike nitye niravadhimahābhogarasikāḥ |
bhajanti tvāṁ cintāmaṇiguṇanibaddhākṣavalayāḥ
śivāgnau juhvantaḥ surabhighṛtadhārāhutiśataiḥ ||

Oh, mother who is ever present,
Those who realize the essence ,
Of the limitless pleasure of the soul you give,
And who add the seed letter “Iim” of the god of love,
The seed letter “Hrim” of the goddess Bhuavaneswaree,
And the seed letter “Srim” of the goddess Lakhmi,
Which are the three letter triad,
Wear the garland of the gem of thoughts,
And offer oblations to the fire in triangle of Shiva,
With the pure scented ghee of the holy cow, Kamadhenu,
Several times and worship you.

Verse 34

शरीरं त्वं शम्भोः शशिमिहिरवक्षोरुहयुगं
तवात्मानं मन्ये भगवति नवात्मानमनघम्।
अतश्शेषश्शेषीत्ययमुभयसाधारणतया
स्थितस्संबन्धो वां समरसपरानन्दपरयोः॥

śarīraṁ tvaṁ śambhoḥ śaśimihiravakṣoruhayugaṁ
tavātmānaṁ manye bhagavati navātmānamanagham |
ataśśeṣaśśeṣītyayamubhayasādhāraṇatayā
sthitassaṁbandho vāṁ samarasaparānandaparayoḥ ||

Oh goddess supreme,
I always see in my minds eye,
That your body with sun and moon,
As busts is the body of Shiva,
And his peerless body with nine surrounding motes,
Is your body, my goddess.
And so the relation of,” that which has”,
And” he who has”,
Becomes the one perfect relation of happiness,
And becomes equal in each of you.

Verse 35

मनस्त्वं व्योम त्वं मरुदसि मरुत्सारथिरसि
त्वमापस्त्वं भूमिस्त्वयि परिणतायां न हि परम्।
त्वमेव स्वात्मानं परिणमयितुं विश्ववपुषा
चिदानन्दाकारं शिवयुवति भावेन विभृषे॥

manastvaṁ vyoma tvaṁ marudasi marutsārathirasi
tvamāpastvaṁ bhūmistvayi pariṇatāyāṁ na hi param |
tvameva svātmānaṁ pariṇamayituṁ viśvavapuṣā
cidānandākāraṁ śivayuvati bhāvena vibhṛṣe ||
Mind you are, Ether you are,
Air you are, Fire you are,
Water you are, Earth you are,
And you are the universe, mother,
There is nothing except you in the world,
But to make believe your form as the universe,
You take the role of wife of Shiva,
And appear before us in the form of ethereal happiness.

Verse 36

तवाज्ञाचक्रस्थं तपनशशिकोटिद्युतिधरं
परं श्ंभुं वन्दे परिमिलितपार्श्वं परचिता।
यमाराध्यन् भक्त्या रविशशिशुचीनामविषये
निरालोकेऽलोके निवसति हि भालोकभुवने॥

tavājñācakrasthaṁ tapanaśaśikoṭidyutidharaṁ
paraṁ śṁbhuṁ vande parimilitapārśvaṁ paracitā |
yamārādhyan bhaktyā raviśaśiśucīnāmaviṣaye
nirāloke’loke nivasati hi bhālokabhuvane ||

The one who worships Parameshwara,
Who has the luster of billions of moon and sun
And who lives in thine Agna chakra- the holy wheel of order,
And is surrounded by thine two forms,
On both sides,
Would forever live,
In that world where rays of sun and moon do not enter,
But which has its own luster,
And which is beyond the sight of the eye,
But is different from the world we see.

  • त्वचा में मेलानिन की मात्रा जितनी अधिक होती है,रंगत उतनी ही डार्क होती है,धुप में जाने से मेलानिन इकट्ठा होने लगता है |जिस से रंग और डार्क हो जाता है |इस से बचने के लिए घर से बाहर निकलते समय सन स्क्रीन लगाएं |
  • पके पपीते के गुदे में केसर मिला कर चेहरे पर लगाएं और ५ मिनट बाद साफ़ पानी से चेहरा साफ़ कर लें |अपनी त्वचा में निखार का एहसास खुद महसूस कर सकती है |

  • गाजर का जूस सेहत के लिए जितना फायदेमंद है रंगत के लिए उतना ही कारगर है |गाजर का जूस चेहरे पर लगाने से रंग साफ़ होता है |आँखों के नीचे जूस लगाने से डार्क सर्कल भी हल्के हो जायेंगे |
  • अपनी रंगत निखारने के लिए घर पर भी स्क्रब बना कर प्रयोग कर सकती है |स्क्रब बनाने के लिए १ चम्मच चंदन पाउडर,१ चम्मच मुल्तानी मिटटी,खसखस ,मिल्क पाउडर और गुलाबजल मिला लें |इस स्क्रब को चेहरे पर लगा कर २-३ मिनट हलके मलें और ५ मिनट बाद साफ़ पानी से धो लें |

HomeHair Cleanser: Take a handful each of dried reetha, amla and shikakai. Soakthem in one litre water overnight. Next day, simmer the herbs on a low firetill the water reduces by half. Allow the mixture to cool and then strain itwith a clean cloth. Use the liquid to wash hair. This quantity should be enoughfor four to five washes. Refrigerate it. Make small quantities at a time.

Pimplesoccur on the oily areas of the skin. Therefore, applying cold cream can lead tofurther pimples. Mix one part of pure glycerine with four parts of rosewaterand keep it in the fridge. Apply it on the face after washing and beforeapplying it, add a few drops of lemon juice to it. Once daily, apply curd mixedwith a little turmeric on the entire face, and wash it off with plenty of waterafter 20 minutes. Apply sandalwood paste on the pimples.

Dandruff:Twice a week, heat pure coconut oil and apply it on the scalp at night, usingcotton wool. Leave it on overnight. Next morning, apply the juice of a lemon onthe scalp and wash your hair after half an hour. Apply henna once a week.

LifelessHair: Once or twice a week, heat pure coconut oil and apply it on the scalp andhair. Then dip a towel in hot water, squeeze out the water and wrap the towelaround your head like a turban. Keep it on for five minutes. Repeat the hottowel wrap three or four times. This helps the hair and the scalp absorb theoil better. Use a mild herbal shampoo. After each shampoo, apply a conditioner,massaging it lightly into the hair. Leave it on for two minutes before washingit off with water. You can have henna treatment thrice a month, adding fourteaspoons each of lemon juice and coffee, two raw eggs, two teaspoons of oiland enough curd to the henna powder. It will make your hair look healthy andlustrous.

GreyHair: Amla is said to check greying. Have the juice of one raw amla afteradding it to a glass of water. Also try adding amla to the henna powder. Hennaturns white hair reddish brown. It will not colour dark hair. Soak a handful ofdry amla in about two cups of water overnight. Next morning, strain the water,but do not throw the water away. Grind the amla. To the henna powder, add the groundamla, four teaspoons each of lemon juice and coffee, two raw eggs and enoughamla water, so that the henna can be mixed into a thick paste. Apply it on thehair, covering the entire head. Keep it on for two hours and wash it off withwater. It will also add shine and substance to the hair. Ask your doctor toprescribe Vitamins B-Complex and C.

OilyHair, Hair Loss: Excessive oiliness of the scalp can lead to hair loss. Washyour hair daily, using very little shampoo — one teaspoon for long hair and halfteaspoon for short hair. Dilute it with a little water and use it. Afterwashing, add the juice of a lemon to half a mug of water and use it as a lastrinse. Have henna treatment once a week. Add four teaspoons each of lemon juiceand coffee, two raw eggs and enough tea water to the henna powder and mix itinto a thick paste. Apply it on the hair and wash it off after an hour. If youdo not wish to use egg, add more tea water. For tea water, boil used tealeavesin water. Cool and strain before using. Include fresh fruits, raw salads andsprouts in your daily diet. Drink 6 to 8 glasses of water. Add the juice of alemon to a glass of water and have it first thing in the morning.

Dry,Lifeless Skin: Use a facial scrub once a week. For very dry skin, avoid soapand use a cleansing gel or cream. For the body, use a mild, glycerin soap.Apply sesame seed (til) oil on the body before your bath. Mix honey with eggyolk and a little milk and apply it daily on the face, washing it off withplain water after 20 minutes. At night, apply a good nourishing cream andmassage it on the face with a few drops of water. Wipe it off with moist cottonwool. Apply sunscreen 20 minutes before going out in the sun. Til oil actuallyhas sunscreen properties, but it is better to use a sunscreen lotion for properprotection. Aloe Vera is a powerful moisturizer and an anti-oxidant. It helpskeep the skin soft and healthy. It is better to use moisturizers and creamscontaining aloe Vera.

DoubleChin: exercises — open your mouth as wide as you can. Hold this position forabout 10 seconds, then relax your mouth, and repeat the exercise a few moretimes. For faster results, add resistance by placing a tennis ball underneathyour chin, while testing your jaw span. Sleeping without a pillow is said tohelp. Also, you can massage the area daily with a cream. Start from the chinand go downwards using both hands, one hand following the other.

OilyT-Zone: either buy a facial scrub or mix rice powder with curd and use it as ascrub. You may add a little turmeric if you wish. Apply the scrub on the face,rubbing gently with small circular movements. Leave it on for five minutes andthen wash it off. This will keep the pores free of clogged oil. Once daily, atany time, mix one teaspoon of honey with one teaspoon of lemon juice and eggwhite and apply it on the oily areas, washing it off after 20 minutes.

GlowingSkin: After cleansing, wipe the face with rose water, using cotton wool andthen pat it briskly. Use a face mask once or twice a week. You can make a maskat home with two teaspoons of choker, one teaspoon of oatmeal or ground almondsand one teaspoon each of curd, honey and egg white. Apply it on the face andwash it off after 20-30 minutes.

ThinWaist: Join a gym or health club and lose weight under professional guidance.Or, practise yoga daily. You can also do the following exercises after seekingyour doctor’s advice. First, lie on the floor on your back, feet together andarms at the sides. Lift your legs about six inches above the ground and holdthis position for a count of ten. Then lower your legs to the floor. Repeatthis exercise 3 to 4 times and increase gradually. Then, keep lying on thefloor, the same way. Bend your knees and keep your feet flat on the floor.Raise your body to a half-sitting position, holding your arms stretched outbefore you. Lower your body to the floor and repeat 3 or 4 times. Take a lookat your eating habits. Avoid eating desserts after meals and stick to freshfruits. Take clear soups (without butter) and salads before the main dish.Avoid rich gravies. Cut down on your intake of cereals. For example, if youhave been eating three chapatis, eat only two. Or, eat only one cup of cookedrice. Eat fresh fruits, salads, sprouts, curd and paneer made from skimmed milkand lightly cooked vegetables. If you feel like a snack, eat fruit, carrot orcucumber.

CombinationSkin, Pimples: In combination skins, usually the T-zone (forehead, nose andchin) is oily, while the rest of the face is dry. Pimples on the forehead canoccur due to oiliness of the skin. You should wash the face only twice a daywith a medicated soap. After washing, wipe the oily areas with rose water mixedwith an astringent lotion in equal quantities. Use this two or three times aday. Make a smooth paste of the soaked ingredients by grinding them with some water. Pour remaining water into this paste and strain through muslin strainer. Add sugar, peppercorns, powdered cardamom, saffron in the extracted liquid and mix well. Now mix it with cold milk. Chill and drink it.

Tip 1:
Take 1 tbsp of cold milk and add 3-4 drops of lime juice. Rub this paste well into the wrinkles before going to sleep. The next morning wash with warm water and dry with a rough towel firmly. Once again rub in the cream - in the direction opposite to the wrinkles. Wait for ½ an hour and wash, avoid using soap.

Tip 2:
Rub the pulp of a ripe Papaya on the face and leave for ½ an hour before washing.
This is a very good toner also.

Rub almond oil on the wrinkles in upward strokes. Leave overnight and wash with warm water next morning.
