Ayurveda Tips For Cervical Spondylosis

Cervical Spondylosis is a disorder of the vertebrae. This is a type of arthritis that occurs in the cervical vertebrae. It is caused by the compression of the nerve roots in the cervical area caused by muscular spasms and erratic movements. The spine movement can aggravate thepain in the neck and is usually accompanied by sleeplessness and loss of memory. This condition is found mostly in people who travel a lot and the bumpy roads put strain on the spine leading to cervical Spondylosis. It can also be due to aging and long hours of sitting in wrong posture.

In Ayurveda Cervical Spondylosis is known as Griva Sandhigata Vata. Ayurvedic therapies are safe and efficient methods of healing using mostly herbal medications and natural processes combined with diet and lifestyle modifications. Ayurveda looks at diseases as the disturbance in the balance of doshas in the body known as Tridoshas, namely vata, pitta and kapha. Correcting this balance will cure the illness and bring the body back to its healthy condition through the purification processes of Panchakarma and nourishing diet and medications. Thus the body’s resistance to diseases is strengthened.
